Oak Barn welcomes you
Come and stay with us in our 400 year old stone barn on the edge of Bodmin Moor, near the village of Minions. Oak Barn was converted in 2003 to a contemporary open plan style to make the most of the light and space, whilst retaining much of the character. It is named after the Darley Oak tree which is believed to be over 1000 years old and is situated opposite the front door. In December 2013 we installed solar panels onto our roof in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We recycle as much as we can and provide a separate bin in rooms to encourage our guests to sort their waste. We have now received a Green Acorn Award in recognition of our green policies. You will receive a warm and friendly welcome with complimentary tea/coffee and homemade cake on arrival. There are two rooms which are let as a suite There is one Kingsize room with its own en-suite shower room. There is another room which has been furnished as a private lounge for guest use only but can sleep a child or additional adult if required. Both the rooms have been decorated to a high standard to give a feeling of style and luxury living. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. BT Infinity wireless internet access available on request. We endeavour where possible to source local Cornish products. Our sausages, bacon and eggs come from a local farm and we make our own bread. Even our soaps and shower gels are Cornish and are 75% organic. There is an outdoor decked seating area for guest use which has rural views.
